How far in advance should I sign up for a session?
I try to schedule sessions regularly, but it is best to book two or three weeks in advance.
I lack the idea for a session, I don't know how to prepare or what to wear...
Don't worry, I'll help! When we set a date, we'll talk about your preferences and what will best suit
your needs. I always share tips and inspirations also about how to get dressed.
Where does the photo session take place?
There are a few options. We can do a photo shoot outdoors, at your home, or in my home studio.
I know great places outdoors, in the city, and in nature, but I'm also open to your ideas.
If you have a favorite spot, just let me know! And if you prefer more privacy
or it will be easier to organize it in your space I'll come to you.
I created also a home studio that I use for single portraits, couples, or pregnancy sessions.
If you feel the vibe of more minimalistic photos - welcome!
A session at my home? I worry that my apartment is not suitable for photos.
My only concern when shooting indoors is light and its amount. That's why before a session, I check what conditions there are. Most often, I ask to take a few photos during the day of different rooms at different times. In winter, due to the light, I do home sessions only from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
But what is most important in choosing your home as a place for a photoshoot - it's the place where you feel comfortable and yourself. Your house is filled with your emotions and everyday life. There are your memories written there. A home session gives you privacy and sometimes it's more recommended especially for pregnancy or family photoshoots with a newborn or small children.
Before the home sessions, I share tips on how to prepare your home for the photos.
What time is best for outdoor photos?
From April to the end of October, when there's a lot of sun, I carry out sessions mainly in the evenings,
at 6-9 pm (depending on the month). In the earlier hours the light is unfavorable both for photos and for models who squint. The bright sun and cloudless sky are not ideal for photos. The most beautiful golden light is in the evening hours. The closer to sunset, the more beautiful the light, so I try to take photos not sooner than 1.5 hours before sunset. I know it can be a challenge with children up to 3 years old, but it is doable.
If the sky is cloudy, we can easily complete the session regardless of the time of the day.
There is another option - for the brave ones... a sunrise session.
The best sunrises are in spring and autumn (March/April and September/October).
The light is then delicate and atmospheric, and the sunrise is at a "bearable" hour.
What if the weather is unfavorable?
Sometimes the weather conditions turn out to be difficult on the agreed day. It can be either heavy rain or unbearable heat. In such a situation, we can try to adjust the session time to the weather forecast or postpone the session depending on availability in my schedule.
A cloudy day isn't an obstacle to taking photos, on the contrary, the clouds create a very nice soft light.
An additional advantage is that no one will squint, and we can take photos from every possible angle.
How long does a photo session last?
Depending on the photo package you choose, it takes approximately 1 to 2 hours. The length of the session often depends on the age of the participants. Family sessions with small children usually last about
1 hour. This time is not due to my rush, but to the awareness that little ones are less patient. A lot is going on during family sessions and this time is enough to take beautiful shots.
On portraits, couples' sessions, or family sessions with older participants, when we can calmly "pose ourselves" for photos. I have more space for being creative, and just simply take our time.
A session with a newborn may take a bit longer because it often requires adapting to the baby's rhythm and needs. Anyway, I always give you as much time and attention as needed. I want you to feel at ease and not count down the minutes. This is supposed to be a souvenir for you and I want this time to be fun.
Will we also receive RAW (unedited) files in addition to the retouched photos?
No. I do not provide raw files as they are only the starting point for my work. Retouching is an essential part of my process and gives my photos the final look.  Before editing, photos often need adjustments as they are not the finished product.  This is why I do not release photos without retouching. You will receive professionally retouched photos as the final result. I will keep the raw files for one year, during which time you can purchase additional shots from the session. After one year, the raw files will be deleted.
What format will we receive the photos in?
You receive high-quality prints in the 13×18 cm format, and JPG files, which I send to your e-mail
as a download link. You can download photos in two resolutions: full resolution and one
appropriately prepared for publication on social media.
I want to purchase a session as a gift. If it is possible?
Of course! I have special gift vouchers that are personalized.
Recipients of the gift contact me and we arrange all the details for the session.
